Permissioned blockchain for fractional gold ownership records. Each investor's share is recorded as an immutable token linked to the GoldBod assay certificate, MinCom concession ID, and pool code. Legally valid under Ghana's Electronic Transactions Act 772. No public chain dependencies.
GhIPSS-integrated mobile money, bank transfer, and international card processing. Supports GHS mobile money (MTN, Vodafone, AirtelTigo), Ghana bank transfers, and USD/GBP/EUR international cards. Automated payout to investor accounts on pool completion.
Ghana Card (NIA) biometric verification via Smile Identity's Ghana API. Liveness detection, document authenticity checks, and NIA database matching in under 3 minutes. AML screening against global sanctions lists and PEP databases at onboarding and every 30 days thereafter.
All investor data and KYC documents are stored on AWS in the af-south-1 (Cape Town) region — chosen for African data residency compliance with Ghana's Data Protection Act 843. AES-256 encryption at rest. TLS 1.3 in transit. No data stored outside Africa.
Investors track their pools through a real-time web dashboard and mobile-optimised interface. Pool stage indicators, GoldBod assay document viewer, blockchain token explorer, transaction history, and payout status — all in one place. Push notifications via AWS SES and Twilio SMS.
Rule-based AML monitoring integrated into the platform backend. Velocity rules (more than 2 pools in 48 hours = medium-risk flag), threshold rules (aggregate ≥$4,800 = enhanced due diligence trigger), and FIC Suspicious Activity Report filing workflow. Fully automated, auditable.
When your pool completes procurement and GoldBod assay, a Hyperledger Fabric ownership token is minted and assigned to your investor wallet. This is not a cryptocurrency. It is a permissioned digital record of your fractional claim on a specific, physically existing quantity of assayed gold.
The token contains: your investor ID, your fractional share percentage, the GoldBod assay certificate number, the GoldBod seal number, the MinCom MCAS concession ID of the supplying mine, the pool code, the date of assay, and the gross and net gold weight in troy ounces.
The token is immutable — once written to the Hyperledger Fabric ledger, it cannot be altered or deleted. It can be viewed, transferred (upon SEC approval), or redeemed. It is legally valid under Ghana's Electronic Transactions Act 772 as evidence of fractional ownership.
